It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Clinton Rothwell. I have known Mr. Rothwell for over 35 years in many capacities within the field of dance.  As Artistic Director of California Riverside Ballet (CRB) and it’s official school, Riverside Ballet Arts (RBA) I was first introduced to Clinton as a Master teacher for Mary Lynn Waterman our founding director. It was Mr. Rothwell who taught, coached and advised me as to my path for a professional career as a dancer in Ballet. His advice and fine instruction was the essential component in the success of my career as well as many other professional ballet dancer’s careers over the years.

During the 1970’s Mr. Rothwell and I danced at the prestigious National Ballet of Canada and toured Canada and the United States together as professional dancers. During the 1980’s and 1990’s Clinton worked with California Riverside Ballet after our commission to choreograph a number of Ballets for the company. Over the past 24 years Clinton has been invited back numerous times to set his ballets as well as teach and coach as a Guest Master Instructor at RBA.

Clinton’s experience as Principle dancer of the National Ballet of Canada and San Francisco Ballet has provided the opportunity for him to work alongside world renowned Artists around the globe. I have experienced Clinton to be an impeccable Artist. He is knowledgeable and passionate in his profession and talented in his artistry. He works for perfection and demands excellence in himself and encourages these traits in his dancers. He has passed his expertise on to many generations of dancers with love and kindness. Such expression and quality of work is hard to find. Clinton has been completely committed to every project we have worked on together. I find myself fortunate to know him. He is truly an inspiration!

Sincerely,

It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Carrie Rothwell. In my capacity as Artistic Director of California Riverside Ballet (CRB) and Riverside Ballet Arts (RBA) I highly recommend Carrie Rothwell as an Instructor and Choreographer for Ballet. I have known Carrie for over 20 years, both as a dancer and instructor, and she is focused, committed and very talented.

Carrie Rothwell has taught and choreographed at RBA's Summer Intensive workshops as well as choreographed a work for California Riverside's Ballet's Spring Gala Dinner and Awards Celebration. Ms. Rothwell's choreography is musical, intricate and simply delightful! The dancers enjoyed performing her work and our Riverside audience was thrilled. CRB has added her work to their repertoire and plan to do another one of Carrie's works "Allego Assai" next season.

Sincerely,
Glenda Carhart
